History of the Show - 28th Year of Service to the Community and our Exhibitors!
1994 – First Show was held in July at the old Sacramento Community Center on J Street. This facility was remodeled and became the Sacramento Convention Center.
2000 – The Show was renamed California State Home & Garden Show and was sold to new management.
2017 – With the pending remodeling of the Sacramento Convention Center, the Show was forced to move. It relocated temporarily to McClellan Park.
2019 – After 2 1/2 years in the temporary facilities at McClellan Park, the Show is scheduled to return to the newly remodeled SAFE Credit Union Convention Center (formerly Sacramento Convention Center) in 2021.
2020 - The first Fine Living Expo was postponed due to COVID-19 and is now rescheduled for August 12-14, 2022 at the all newly remodeled SAFE Credit Union Convention Center. This new event will expand the scope beyond home improvement and landscaping to include travel, leisure, art, and lifestyle exhibitors, workshops, and feature areas.
